Design Commission's Approval of New Boundary Wall at 26th Ward WPCP, NY for NYC Environmental Protection (NYCDEP):

AEG was retained by New York City Department of Environmental Protection to prepare a presentation for NYC Design Commission's approval of perimeter wall reconstruction at 26 Ward Water Pollution Control Plant located at 122-66 Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11207.

AEG prepared architectural renderings of the proposed perimeter wall of the plant and all the required documents/application required for Art Commission review & approval. AEG completed the assignment within the agreed time scheduled.

The boundary wall in addition to providing security to this DEP facility also provides a visual screen to the facility (water tanks, filtration equipments, etc) from the street and the residential multistory building block across the street. Thus the intent of the project was to continue to providing the required security and visual screening to the facility.

Existing photographs of the boundary wall from inside and outside of the facility were presented to the Design Commission for their review of the existing conditions. Additionally these photographs with the proposed solar screen were presented to provide a visual of the proposed look of the boundary wall for Art Commission review and approval.

Three boards of size 30" x 40" included in the submission to the Art Commission include the following:
  1. Location Plan
  2. Site Plan
  3. Photographs of existing boundary wall (8 Nos)
  4. Renderings of boundary wall with proposed solar screen drawing (3 Nos)
