Earth Protection System and Controlled Inspection at Various Water Treatment Plants for NYC Environmental Protection (NYCDEP):

  • Rockaway WPCP, Queens, NY.
  • Bowery Bay WPCP, Staten Island, NY.
  • Wards Island WPCP, Manhattan, NY.

AEG AEG provided, design, controlled inspection and NYCDOB approvals for earth protection system, existing pipe and duct bank support at various DEP WPCP facilities in New York for NYC-DEP.

Scope of work included:

  • Field Inspection, perform calculations for earth protection system, pipe and duct bank support required for pipe replacement / wall repair. The excavation varies from 10'-0" to 20'-0" deep.
  • Prepared drawings with details and specifications for filing the job in NYC Department of Buildings (NYCDOB).
  • Obtain NYCDOB approval and construction permit to execute the work.
  • Perform controlled inspection and sign-off the TR-1 form.

Scope of services included:

Phase 1 – Review of Existing Documents & Field Inspection;
Phase 2 - Design Calculations & Drawings;
Phase 3 – Obtain Permits from NYCDOB;
Phase 4 - Controlled Inspection.
