A & E Design and Approvals Design & Inspection of Shoring & Utility Support for Main Floor at Saint George Terminal, Staten Is., NY for MTA-NYCT: AEG provided design services to MTA-NYCT to support the existing deteriorated concrete slab at main entrance to Saint George Terminal in Staten Island, NY. Scope of work included; review of existing documents and field investigation to determine the condition of existing slab to be supported, determine the availability of space in occupied basement for shoring placement, and to verify the locations of existing electric conduits and HVAC ducts. AEG provided detail drawings with specifications and cost estimate of shoring to support existing slab with the limitation of space availability under the floor. AEG submitted design calculations and drawings for NYCT approval.
