Engineering Design Services for Two New Office
Buildings and Training Centers for NJ Department of
Motor Vehicle (NJDMV):
AEG provided engineering design services for two new 4,500 SF single
story office and training facilities at Freehold and
Flemington, New Jesrsey for NJ Department of Motor
Vehicle (NJDMV).
Scope of structural design work included:
- Design of new single story building with Gravity, Seismic and Wind load
combination in conformance with IBC – 2006 Building Code.
- Framing system of the building consisted of web joists supporting on steel
girders and steel columns. The columns were supported on concrete foundation
tied to grade beams.
- Three dimension computer models were prepared for structural analysis using
STAAD Pro software. Structural members and connections were design using the
same software.
- Concrete foundations, grade beams and other connection details with
foundation were designed based on geotechnical report and governing loads from
analysis.
