AEG provided structural integrity inspection and repair details for two
story commercial building with basement at 294 State
Street, Hackensack, NJ.
Structural Inspection included:
Inspection of two story building with basement
including Structural steel columns, bracings,
connections, concrete floors, metal deck and joists,
concrete floors, concrete retaining walls and
lintels.
- Indepth inspection of critical locations using hammer for sounding the
concrete and to determine the section losses in corroded structural steel
members;
- Removal of existing load bearing wall in the basement and replacement with
steel structure to provide more circulation space in basement.
- Removal of existing wall at second floor and replace with steel structure.
- Provided details of steel structure to support the existing wooden joist
while removing the existing load bearing walls at first & second floor.
- Provided details for slab on grade in basement.
- Perform load rating of existing structure for new air-conditioning units on
roof top.
