Design and Construction Support Services for the
Installation of Back Flow Prevention Devices, NJ
(On-Call Design Services 2008-2010) for Port
Authority of NY & NJ (PANY&NJ):
AEG provided design and construction support services for the
following two (2) tasks:
- Construction of two structures for the installation of Back flow Prevention
Devices; Scope of work included: review of existing drawings and verify field
condition, review catalog cut of prevention devices and design the structure
based on their requirements. Coordination with all the discipline involved in
the project. Provide detail drawings, specifications and cost estimate in PANYNJ
format for approval. Provided Construction Support Services as required.
- Installation of new domestic water services at Waldo Yard. Scope of work
included: review of existing drawings for the removal of existing underground
tank and building foundation drawings to provide pipe access inside the building
for water service. AEG developed detail drawings for underground concrete tank
removal and back filling procedure, removal of existing asphalt for new concrete
pads and new asphalt pavement details. AEG also developed details of opening in
existing grade beams for pipe access into the building. All drawings,
specifications and cost estimate were submitted to PANYNJ for approval. Provided
Construction Support Services as required.
