AEG's scope included:
- Assessment of existing structural members for 12th, 13th & 14th Floor and
Dunnage at roof for new HVAC unit.
- Load rating to determine the load carrying capacity of the existing floor.
- Provided structural details for distributing the proposed floor load on
supporting structural members and provide details for reinforcing the existing
supporting members to carry the additional loads. Some loads were transferred to
upper & lower floors through additional structural members.
- Provided details for new dunnage at roof top for new HVAC units.
- Provided details for reinforced concrete foundation for new generator in
basement and its duct support system.
- Designing was based on IBC 2006.
- Coordination with Architectural & MEP drawings.
